I also run fuck yeah, orange hair!
Anonymous said: I've been look for more natural ways to color my hair, and came across henna. But, I've been hearing mixed things about it (be it the powdered kind or the bricks that lush carries). Some say it's great and others horrible, and it can't be easily dyed over if you end up not liking the result. What do you know about henna for hair color use? Any advice? Is it worth trying or should I stay away?
Henna stains the hair a pretty color, but you’re better off getting it professionally glazed. With professional color, your stylist can mix something that exactly suits you. Even if henna is “natural”, it really isn’t so great for the hair, especially if you’re interested in more chemical services and/or changing it at all - it’s extremely difficult to remove from the hair. I’d say you best bet is go for a consultation at a salon and see if they can hook you up with a color that you’d like that maybe you think only henna can produce - it’s safer and if you don’t like it, can be easily changed! :)
